...decides to leave the organisation, but still believes in -

Jehovah, the true and living God,

His Son, Jesus Christ, and His sin-atoning death & resurrection,

the Bible as God's word,

and also -

still prays regularly,

endeavours to live a moral life,

tell others about God's free gift of eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ,

Will that person STILL be considered an apostate by other Witnesses?

After all, he has not turned away from, or denied Jehovah and His Son, has he?

Your thoughts, please?

Please refrain from cut and paste answers, thank you.

Any 'religion' that makes the statement that you need them is the work of the anti christ.

Jesus is enough.

Not Jesus PLUS this....

Who ever took what Jesus taught and made a religion around it, missed the point all together. It is not about religiousity..... it's about relationship.

I am not a Witness, but have a lot of contact with them (not just at the door!). The way i understand it, JWs believe the Bible says God appoints an authority on Earth to govern Christians, and they are that organisation, so excommunication from that would be a judgement from God.

Critical thinking is not welcome in that Org. You can be a loyal JW for 95 years but the minute you disagree with a current teaching, you are history. Sad really because even in the Bible people are told to "test out" anyone who claims to be a prophet from Him (1John 4:1). By definition, this would include them.

i'm one of Jehovah's witnesses. if you leave the organization, it comes as if you have rejected Jehovah God. remember that we believe that the governing body is in a sense representing God (can't get the words i want). so you reject the organization, you reject Jehovah. if you spread lies and slander about us, you will be considered as an apostate. if not, well you left and we have nothing to do with you. we can't communicate with ex witnesses.

An apostate is some one who spreads lies and persecutes Jehovah's people so in the case you are talking about the person is not an apostate

My first question is eternal life where? Do you believe in not onlyy heaven for some, but the paradise earth for the majority of faithful Christians?

Do you recognize Jesus as subordinate to his heavenly Father, as the King of God's Kingdom?

And who do you recognize as the shepherding arrangement to be submissive to? - Acts 20:28, 1st Peter 5:2, Galatians 6:1.

Who would those be with spiritual qualifications?

How you answered those questions, and others, would help define how many, including myself, would view you.
